The Young Lady of Ryde

SATB, splits up to SSATTB

c.2′

There was a Young Lady of Ryde,
Whose shoe-strings were seldom untied;
She purchased some clogs,
And some small spotted dogs,
And frequently walked about Ryde.

Edward Lear (1812-1888)

There was a Young Lady of Ryde,
Who ate a sour apple and died;
The apple fermented
Inside the lamented,
And made cider inside her insides.

Anon.

There was a Young Lady of Ryde,
Who fell off the pier and died;
A passing shark
Was heard to remark:
‘I knew that the Lord would provide.’

Anon.
